Express Employment Professionals Grows Alongside Community

Growth is essential for almost any business. Since 1995, Express Employment Professionals in Tyler, Texas, has been serving the staffing needs of thousands of businesses throughout the area, enabling many of them to thrive and expand their operations.
And Express Employment Professionals has been growing right along with them.
Originally, the company’s primary focus was light industrial and office service placements. While Express Tyler continues to offer those services, the company has expanded to provide placements for skilled trades and professionals as well. This includes placements in accounting, finance, human resources, information technology, and engineering professional-level candidates.
Express Tyler has come a long way from its early days. Back then, the company was tucked into a space in the Green Acres Shopping Center off Troup Highway. From those humble beginnings, Express Tyler began building a reputation as the premier workforce management provider in the region. One satisfied customer at a time.
“Those days bring back warm memories,” says Express Tyler owner Rocky Gill, who opened the office in 1995 with a staff consisting of one other person. “We began to get to know the companies we would be serving. We worked hard then — just as we do now — to develop relationships.
“It takes time to develop trust, but it has been worth it,” he adds. “What’s really happened is we’ve made some tremendous friends whom we’ve been able to assist in reaching their business goals.”
Over the decades, nearly 110,000 people have walked through the doors at Express Tyler looking for work. In turn, the company has connected jobseekers with more than 3,200 different businesses.
Express Tyler eventually grew to the point that in 2013 the company relocated into a larger space, off Donnybrook Avenue south of the loop. It had taken nearly 20 years of business for Express Tyler to make that move, and Gill figured it would be the final such change for the company.
“When we moved into our office in 2013, I really thought we’d never outgrow it. I planned to retire in the building,” Gill says. “But we’ve been so blessed to work with more companies and job-seekers that we continue to grow, and we’ve seen our service lines expand into new skill areas.”
So this past spring, Express Tyler moved once again, this time crossing the street to occupy a former gym. The company has now nearly doubled its office space, enabling Express Tyler to further expand services to area businesses.
In addition to Express Employment Professionals, the new location houses the Specialized Recruiting Group and Express Pros Training. And Express is looking closely at other employment-related services companies for the near future.
“We’ve been blessed to work closely with so many businesses through the years, and we hope for that to continue for many more years by providing the finest staffing services in East Texas,” Gill says. “We always wish to be of the greatest help to our community, so we will continue to look for ways to meet any of its challenges that we can.”
