1. Puyallup Farmers’ Market and Night Market
One of Washington’ largest markets, the Puyallup Farmers’ Market is situated in the picturesque Pioneer Park and Pavilion and runs Saturdays from April to October. With growers, artisan crafters and specialty item vendors the market showcases the region’s rich agricultural heritage. The Puyallup Night Market features creators, makers and live artists and brings community together for concerts in the park. The Kiwanis Kids Spray Park, Rotary Stage and built-in chess tables offer plenty of fun while at the markets.
2. Foothills Trail
The Foothills Trail is a paved 15-mile rail trail ideal for cycling and walking, weaving through farms that are open to visitors. Spooner Farms, Sterino Farms and McMillin Farm grow a range of berries and produce. You can also find harvest festivals with a pumpkin patch, a corn maze and entertainment. Stop at picturesque Farm 12 for lunch and enjoy scratch-made field to table fare and don’t miss Fika, their new cafe.

3. Washington State Fair
An iconic annual attraction, the Washington State Fair is a sensational destination. Market vendors, livestock shows, amusement park rides and fair food like crusty pups, fisher scones, earthquake burgers and elephant ears draw lines of hungry guests. The Puyallup Rodeo (pictured right) is the last stop to advance to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, and the Washington State Fair’s concert series draws big names from Blake Shelton to Nelly. The fairgrounds hosts other events year-round, too, like Holiday Magic and Oktoberfest.
4. Round 1 and Catapult Adventure Park
Families will love two of Puyallup’s kid-friendly entertainment options, Round 1 arcade and Catapult Adventure Park. Round 1 has billiards, bowling, an arcade, karaoke, ping pong, darts and a kids activity center and is located in the South Hill Mall. Catapult features inflatables, trampolines, slides, bounce houses and more where the kids can jump around to their heart’s content.

5. Sumner and Puyallup Main Street Districts
Sumner’s picturesque Main Street is home to a range of boutiques and dining options that are the perfect way to while away a day. With two locations in Puyallup and Sumner, Trackside Pizza is worth a stop. Downtown Puyallup has a unique blend of consignment shops and boutiques, salons and favorite watering holes like locals favorite Bumpy’s Tavern and craft cocktail hot spot Perry’s Cocktail Bar. Enjoy a play or musical at the historical Liberty Theater and indulge in decadent desserts at the popular Cat and Rabbit Cake Shop and The Savory and Sweet Cafe.
6. Hops Heritage and Cider Squeeze
Paying homage to Puyallup’s first mayor, hops farmer, Ezra Meeker, the region has many craft breweries and cideries. Breweries like Top Down Brewing Co., Off Camber, Township 20, Half-Lion Brewing Co. and taproom CaskCades each have unique spaces to enjoy sipping in. Cider is also making a splash for local drinkers. The Meeker Mansion hosts family-friendly Cider Squeeze, and Cockrell Hard Cider has a tasting room on its farm surrounded by orchards called the Roost, a unique place to listen to music, eat from a food truck and sip cider.

7. The Old Cannery District
A destination in itself, the Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse, a furniture store in a former fruit canning factory, has more than just items for your home. It includes a fudge factory by a giant old tree in the center of the floor. Grab your favorite brew (coffee or a beer) and a handmade sandwich, wrap or salad at the popular River’s Edge Café, with an outdoor covered patio. Cross the Cannery Way Bridge to Oxbow Urban Kitchen, which just opened its doors in 2022, and enjoy great food and drink on the deck overlooking the bend in the river.

9. Safety in Motion (SIM) Flight Center
Thun Field County Airport is home to the Safety in Motion (SIM) Flight Center, which has a flight school and the county’s only full-motion flight simulator. Pilots and aviation enthusiasts love the location, facilities, and the scenic views of planes with a backdrop of Mt. Rainier. Top Gun Bar & Grill provides whiskey and steak with a side of country, plus billiards, pull tab gambling, dancing, corn hole and all your favorite games aired on TV.
