CAM-PLEX

CAM-PLEX Multi-Events Facilities spans 1,100 acres and has five indoor event venues, a stadium park, three barns, multiple campgrounds and Spirit Hall Ice Arena.

Parks

Campbell County Parks & Recreation maintains more than 20 parks and facilities, including four parks with ball fields.

The City of Gillette Parks Division oversees an outdoor City Pool that opens during the summer. Among the most-visited sites in the city is Dalbey Memorial Park, which has seven baseball/softball fields and 65 picnic tables.

Campbell County Recreation Center

Campbell County Recreation Center in Gillette has a 42-foot climbing wall, six-lane lap pool, 3-meter diving platform, leisure pool with two water slides, basketball courts and racquetball courts. There are also five tennis courts, an elevated walking track, two tanning beds, a weight room, three exercise rooms and a kids’ zone used for babysitting.

Wright Recreation Center

Wright Recreation Center features a three-lane swimming pool, lazy river, hot tub, meeting room, weight room, cardio area, dance/fitness rooms and a spinning studio. The site also has picnic areas, shelters and two playgrounds.

Youth Activities

Children in Gillette and Campbell County have plenty to choose from in sports and recreation, including leagues for floor hockey, ice hockey, basketball, baseball and swimming. The most popular league is the Gillette Soccer Club; other organized youth activities include wrestling, karate, BMX, rugby, gymnastics, cheerleading, rodeo and a new skate park that opened in 2014 on 4J Road.

Baseball & Softball

The new Energy Capital Sports Complex in Gillette is already a hit with softball teams. The facility features four fast-pitch fields with synthetic turf, covered dugouts and protected spectator seating. All fields are equipped with lights for night games, and teams can use four batting cages to warm up prior to games. There’s also a 2.4-mile trail that goes around the entire complex and a natural grass play area for young children that includes a mist-maker. Also serving the community is Hladky Memorial Stadium, which hosts American Legion baseball games and has the only AstroTurf field in the region. The stadium is located at the corner of Gurley Avenue and Warlow Drive.

Golf

Campbell County has three golf courses. Bell Nob Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 championship venue in Gillette, with a separate nine-hole, par-three course. Other destinations are the nine-hole Gillette Golf Club and the nine-hole Haycreek Golf Club in Wright.

Disc Golf

The outdoor game of disc golf can be played on two 18-hole courses in Gillette: Energy Rotary Club Disc Golf Course at CAM-PLEX Park and Dalbey Memorial Park.

Shooting Ranges

The Gillette area offers a variety of shooting ranges, including T&T Guns & Ammo near Rozet, which has a public shooting range for pistol and rifle enthusiasts. The Range 307 features full-service indoor shooting lanes, multi-purpose rooms that are available for special events, and a large collection of apparel and firearms, both for sale and for rent.
