At Onslow Memorial Hospital, the emergency department not only saves lives, but is getting a new lease on life itself. In summer 2008, the hospital opens a new ER that’s almost triple the size of its predecessor. The $31.3 million project replaces the existing department, as well as the surgical services area, and it will have more than $4 million in new medical equipment and related technology, says Tim Strickland, director of public relations and marketing.
