Whether you’re in the mood for award-winning steaks and fresh seafood or opt for more adventurous fare, such as kangaroo and python, Gillette’s restaurants will not disappoint.

Pizza Carello

Located inside the Gillette Brewing Company, Pizza Carello specializes in wood-fired, artisan-style pizzas with pizza dough made from nothing more than North Dakota grown flour, spring water, olive oil, sea salt and yeast. The owners use fresh, organic herbs and tomatoes to give their sauce its unique taste, and cook their pizzas in a stone-earth oven they made themselves.

The Railyard

The Railyard, which opened in Spring 2017, offers diners a variety of dishes, from burgers and steak to fish, in a recently remodeled space that includes patio dining.

Prime Rib Restaurant and Wine Cellar

With an award-winning wine bar that includes more than 3,000 labels, the Prime Rib Restaurant and Wine Cellar can both wine and dine its patrons. Established in 1983, the restaurant is often a regional go-to for special occasions and offers a menu inspired by Napa and Sonoma valleys. The adjacent Martini Lounge is a favorite for happy hour or watching sporting events.

Big Lost Meadery

Opened in late 2014 by a Gillette resident, Big Lost Meadery has quickly become a local favorite. Sam Clikeman restored an old storefront and turned it into the city’s first meadery. Big Lost sells several flavors of the alcoholic beverage, including Wild Man Mead and Crazy Woman Mead. Clikeman recently expanded to include a brewery.

Wyoming’s Rib & Chop House

Named the best steakhouse in Wyoming by Foursquare and Business Insider, Wyoming’s Rib & Chop House earns the title with its menu of premium steaks, baby back ribs and seafood entrees. The Montana and Wyoming chain, which prides itself on its “Rocky Mountain Hospitality,” opened a restaurant in Gillette in 2016.

Pokey’s BBQ & Smokehouse

If you’re in the mood for a good bison burger with meat sourced from local ranchers or delicious brisket tacos, Pokey’s BBQ & Smokehouse is for you. But the restaurant, named best barbecue joint in Wyoming, is also a great place for more adventurous eaters. In addition to bison, Pokey’s “Wild Thang” menu features kangaroo, ostrich, wild boar, alligator and even python.

Cool Companies in Gillette, WY

City Brew Coffee

A great place to get your morning java jolt, City Brew Coffee has been a Gillette staple since 2012. Baristas hand-select coffee beans to slow roast and then brew with pure mountain water. Menu items, such as the Fountain of Youth latte with coconut oil, reflect the coffee house’s Rocky Mountain origins.

Sapporo

Sapporo, a Japanese hibachi and sushi chain with a restaurant in Gillette, is a great place for business lunches. The restaurant offers daily lunch specials as well as online ordering for take-out. After work, diners are invited to Sapporo’s happy hour for 99-cent draft beer.

The Coop

Like its name implies, The Coop specializes in all things chicken — with a Latin American twist.  The restaurant’s chicken empanadas and tortilla soup are favorites, but many diners will say it is The Coop’s flaky and savory rotisserie chicken pot pie that keeps them coming back.
