Moore Heritage Festival of the Arts and Humanities Honors Civil Rights Activists

The Moore Heritage Festival of the Arts and Humanities occurs each March to honor the first civil rights activists in the state of Florida. Harry T. Moore and his wife, Harriette, organized the Brevard County branch of the NAACP in 1934, and in 1946, Harry was named the state’s executive director of the NAACP. Valiant Air Command's Warbird Museum Showcases Historic Aircraft

History takes flight here, keeping the legacy of past and present military aviators alive through the dedicated efforts of the Valiant Air Command. The V.A.C. was formed in 1977 by a group of former pilots who wanted to preserve not only the heritage of their colleagues’ wartime missions, but as many of the actual aircraft as possible.
