Looking for good community and wine in Warner Robins, GA? Meet the Lewises. When Ebony and Marc Lewis met while stationed in Warner Robins, they had no idea their paths would one day lead to a boutique wine bar.

The Air Force couple was later stationed in California, where Marc’s deployments often left Ebony with time to explore. She found herself drawn to Napa Valley’s wine culture and spent her free time at local wineries and wine bars.

What began as a social outlet became a passion. Ebony immersed herself in learning about wine – varietals, regions, grapes and the processes of winemaking.

There, the idea for La’Vino Wine Bar was born. The military later brought Ebony, Marc and their family back to Warner Robins. “This is where I wanted to raise our children,” Ebony says. “I wanted to be part of this community.”

After purchasing the building and completing renovations, La’Vino Wine Bar opened in September 2022.

La’Vino offers wines from around the world, including Oregon, Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Jamaica, and, of course, California, where the journey began. Guests can enjoy wine by the glass or bottle in a welcoming, intimate space.

“We work with a small distributor that sources wines from smaller vineyards and wineries from around the world,” Ebony says. “These are wines you won’t find in the grocery store.”

She personally tastes every wine before adding it to the menu, ensuring it meets her standards, and that customers will enjoy it. Ebony loves introducing guests to new wines, encouraging them to try something they may never have considered.

“It’s about expanding palates and exposing people to wines they haven’t heard of or tasted before,” she says.

But La’Vino is about more than wine – it’s about building community. Ebony has created a space where people can relax, socialize and be themselves. La’Vino has become a gathering spot for people from all walks of life, where strangers become friends and friends turn into regulars.

“Our community has been so supportive. It’s been amazing and fulfilling to see,” Ebony says.

Above all, Ebony hopes that La’Vino will continue to be a Warner Robins community staple for years to come. “Wine is laughter. Wine is community,” she says. “People come here as strangers and leave as friends.”
