Concierge Program: Covering the Bases
First launched in 2021, the Concierge Program curates experiences for individuals as well as small groups. Chamber officials connect transplants with people, places and resources to help them put down roots, build confidence and foster a true sense of belonging.
Services for prospective talent include customized tours and welcome baskets, then when they’re ready to move, the Concierge Program offers housing research, rental support, and introductions to schools, child care services, places of worship and other community amenities based on personal interests.
The Concierge Program can even help spouses and family members find careers in the Greater Green Bay, WI, area.

In its first year, the Concierge Program assisted more than 65 new residents relocating to the region, facilitating more than 40 community tours and hosting at least five gatherings.
Connecting and Collaborating With New Residents
When the new president and CEO of Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin relocated to the Greater Green Bay, WI, area for her career, she leveraged the Concierge Program. Letesha Nelson says the executive search firm Truity Partners introduced her to the Concierge Program during the interview and hiring process.

“It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Green Bay.”
Nelson was previously the president and executive director of the Goodman Community Center in Madison, and she was living in nearby Watertown before accepting the new role. She says the Concierge Program got her plugged into her new surroundings quickly.
“They gave me a tour, shared helpful information about neighborhoods and schools, and followed up on my questions along the way,” Nelson says. “Their insights helped me feel grounded and confident about my move.”
She says the Concierge Program recommended she explore different neighborhoods and helped her identify places that supported her lifestyle.
“Spending time in the community helped me see what best suited my family,” she says. “I was drawn to Bellevue’s sense of community and family-friendly feel.”
But Nelson wasn’t a stranger to the region. She had previously worked in Greater Green Bay, and the Concierge Program helped reacquaint her with the community. She says she was surprised how much had changed in the 16 years since she left.
“I previously worked in Green Bay with Girl Scouts, and while it still feels familiar, it’s grown in such positive ways with more opportunities to connect, collaborate and make an impact,” Nelson says.
Deepening Bonds With the Community
In addition to getting new residents acclimated to the region, the Greater Green Bay Chamber also offers the Community Connector Network as an additional service under the Concierge Program. This initiative matches transplants to the Greater Green Bay, WI, area with established career professionals.
Through these relationships, companies can help ensure their new employees make personal connections that deepen their bond with their community. Inclusive socials offer a welcoming space for new and established professionals to develop meaningful relationships.
Notable activities include monthly coffee gatherings, community socials throughout the year and the annual Home for the Holiday event. “I truly value the connections and support the chamber provides in our community,” Nelson says.
Now that she’s settled into her new home, Nelson says she’s been taking advantage of the cultural scene in Green Bay as well as leaning into landscaping and enjoying the region’s four seasons.
“I love the theater and look forward to experiencing the arts in Green Bay and nearby communities,” she says. “At home, I enjoy and take pride in maintaining a well-kept, beautiful yard.”
Nelson is an advocate for the Concierge Program and encourages other newcomers to utilize the unique service.
“The Concierge Program team made a lasting impression, and I was touched that they remembered me when I saw them again after moving here,” she says. “It’s comforting to feel recognized and supported in a new community, and having a knowledgeable point of contact made all the difference.”
Nelson is also a big fan of her new community and has some advice for prospective Greater Green Bay transplants: “Spend a few days here. Green Bay offers a great balance – lively and bustling when you want it to be, yet peaceful when you need it. It’s vibrant yet never overwhelming, and there’s a genuine sense of community that makes you feel at home. I’m grateful for how welcoming the community has been, and I look forward to getting to know Green Bay even more.”
