Health Care in Castle Rock: A Community of Caring
Castle Rock, CO, residents are fortunate to have two leading hospitals – AdventHealth Castle Rock and HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge – serving their community.
AdventHealth
AdventHealth Castle Rock established in 2011, has grown into a cornerstone of whole-person care for the community. The hospital’s 89 beds serve about 3,600 inpatients annually, supported by a team of more than 700 employees.
“For 15 years, AdventHealth Castle Rock has been honored to serve this community,” says President/CEO Michelle Fuentes. “Our mission is to make a lasting impact through the milestones people never forget, and the everyday moments that matter most.”
With 20,000-plus emergency visits each year, the hospital offers medical services such as imaging, orthopedics, heart and vascular care, maternity, breast health, sports medicine and rehabilitation. Its growing network of 29 clinics also provides more than 100,000 visits annually beyond the hospital campus.
Fuentes says AdventHealth Castle Rock continues to advance its vision for whole-person health through the Rock of Hope campaign, an initiative to bring world-class cancer care to the community.

A new facility, located in the Schrader Building, is set to open in 2026 and will provide advanced radiation, chemotherapy and infusion therapies close to home. AdventHealth Castle Rock was designated a Top Hospital by The Leapfrog Group, an honor reflecting its commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care. This dedication to quality was underscored by the hospital receiving an ‘A’ Safety Grade from Leapfrog in the spring 2025 assessment.
The hospital’s impact extends beyond health care, including sponsoring the newly named AdventHealth Castle Rock Stadium and participating in volunteer initiatives like Days of Service.
HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge
HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge in Lone Tree became the first hospital to open in Douglas County in 2003. Today, this 304-bed acute care trauma center specializes in stroke, cardiovascular services, spine and orthopedics, oncology and women’s services.

“HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge has been reaccredited as a Surgical Review Corporation Center of Excellence for robotic surgery, and our team just received the first-in-the-nation SRC accreditation for gynecology oncology surgery,” says HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge CEO Eric Evans. “This is a testament to our care team that delivers world-class care to our community close to home.”
In addition, HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge has received the “Partners in Philanthropy” award from the Denver Business Journal.
