Trust, innovation, integrity, compassion, experience and a focus to provide excellence in rural health are what set Marion Health apart as a community cornerstone serving Grant County for more than a century. Serving Marion and surrounding communities in East Central Indiana, the award-winning health care system was recently honored as one of the Top 100 Rural and Community Hospitals in the United States by the National Rural Health Association. The recognition is determined annually through an evaluation conducted by the Chartis Center for Rural Hospital Performance INDEX, the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospitals in the country.

“Marion Health is so proud of our outstanding team of medical staff, employees and volunteers who achieved this superior level of excellence,” says President and CEO Stephanie Hilton-Siebert, a strong advocate for rural health. “The Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital designation by Chartis was determined by applying objective measurements for excellence in quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, financial efficiency and market share. The award affirms Marion Health has and will continue to provide the quality health care our community has become accustomed to.”

Outstanding Care Conveniently Located

The Marion Health System offers outstanding health care to all ages and is the largest health care system on the Interstate 69 corridor between Noblesville and Fort Wayne. Its flagship facility, Marion Health, is a 99-bed, not-for-profit hospital serving the Marion community. In 2024, the system opened Marion Health East, a 100,000-square-foot health care facility on a 100-plus-acre campus in Gas City. Both locations offer compassionate and cutting-edge medical staff representing a comprehensive menu of specialty fields including cancer treatment, as well as emergency departments staffed by skilled emergency medicine teams 24 hours a day. In addition, Marion Health System offers 18 conveniently located outpatient clinics and is the biggest employer in the Grant County area.

“Marion Health has an outstanding and knowledgeable medical staff who embrace the latest medical advancements yet serve our community with respect, compassion and individualized care,” Hilton-Siebert says. “Here, you are not just a patient, but a whole person.”

Cutting-edge Technology

Marion Health offers the latest technology featuring da Vinci 5 robotics at both hospitals. Robotic surgery typically means patients experience less pain, smaller incisions and quicker recovery times. Additionally, investing in the EBUS and ION robotic devices assists physicians performing advanced, minimally invasive lung biopsy procedures, often leading to early diagnoses. The family birthing center and neonatologists in the special care nursery ensure every child born at Marion Health has an amazing start in life. Marion Health Cancer Care is a state-of-the-art cancer care center where triple- and quadruple-board-certified doctors bring a broad professional toolbox of knowledge to patient care.
