Quincy, nicknamed the “City of Presidents” for being the birthplace of John Adams and John Quincy Adams, is rich in history and economic resources. Its diverse and thriving economy is powered by manufacturing, technology and health care sectors and is also part of the new Life Sciences Corridor.

Founded in 1988, the company provides business and personal insurance to customers across New England. Its specialties are auto, motorcycle, home, renters, condo and business insurance.

Boston Financial Data Services
Incorporated in 1973, the company provides research, portfolio analytics, real-time feeds and other market data to customers ranging from banks to stock traders to individual investors.

Granite Telecommunications
Offers one-stop communications solutions for customers, covering voice, data, internet, wireless, video and secure network options. Founded in 2002, its customer base includes 85 Fortune 100 companies.

A construction and development company founded in 1969, Jay Cashman Inc. has more than 1,000 employees, making it one of the largest privately held residential and commercial contracting firms in the Northeast.

Quincy Mutual, founded over 160 years ago, offers coverage for automobiles, homes, boats, condos and rental properties. In addition, its commercial insurance division covers business property and liability, commercial auto and workers’ compensation.

Stop & Shop
It began in 1892 as a small grocery store and now has 415 supermarkets throughout its chain. The company started in Somerville but later moved to its current Quincy headquarters.
