Make a play date at the Children's Museum at Yunker Farm. The Museum, opened at Yunker Farm in 1989, helps connect parents and children through hands-on activities and exhibits designed to inspire families' creative sides.

Located in what was the first brick house built in the Dakota territory, the Museum underwent its conversion as a project of the Junior League of Fargo/Moorehead and the Fargo Park District. Now sprawling across 55 acres, the Children's Museum includes a miniature train, carousel, playground, pumpkin patch, miniature golf course, butterfly garden and Pipi Longstocking's playhouse.

The 50-plus exhibits engage children in hands-on activities that promote learning while keeping kids entertained. Among the exhibits are Imagine That, which lets kids transform themselves into characters using costumes and makeup, Tube Tunes, which explores the science of sound, and Bee Hive, where kids can crawl inside a life-size bee hive.

Complete with educational programs, special events and outreach programs, the Children's Museum at Yunker Farm has established itself as a top spot for all-around family fun. It was recently recognized as one of the top 25 children's museums in the country by Child magazine and earned the title of Fargo's Favorite Spot for a Family Outing.
