Music City Energy
At just 30 miles from Nashville, music lovers in Robertson County can easily drive to the legendary Music City to take in a show. But you don’t need to leave Robertson County to get a live-music fix. In addition to shows at venues like Back Roads Bar & Grill in Springfield and White House Pizza & Pub, check out local music festivals such as the annual Kilgore Station Bluegrass Festival in Cross Plains. The music scene is growing, too. Launched in 2024 inside BS Brew Works, Springfield Songs & Stories is a series of monthly events where successful songwriters talk about their hits.
Agricultural Heritage
Robertson County is home to 209,000 acres of farmland, nearly 70% of its geographic area, so it’s no surprise the region has deep agricultural roots. In addition to farming, related fields like agricultural research, machinery, seeds and chemicals bring in $140 million each year, making the area the third-largest agribusiness market in Tennessee.
Diverse Food Scene
Residents enjoy the many spots to score good grub in the area. In Springfield, check out Torino’s Greek and Italian Steak House for Mediterranean flavors or Ichiban Steak House for sushi and hibachi-grilled proteins.
White House is home to Colorado Grill, which serves regional classics like fried green tomatoes alongside steaks. Also in White House, the Moringa Tree offers organic fare, and food truck Rojos Locos Tacos pops up regularly at various spots around the city.
Major Manufacturing Hub
The advanced manufacturing industry is the largest employment sector in Robertson County, with companies turning out everything from gas ovens to auto parts to warehouse storage systems. Electrolux Home Products, which produces laundry and cooking appliances, opened a 525,000-square-foot warehouse in 2021 as the first stage of its factory expansion in Springfield, where it employs 3,400 workers. Operations like Bath Fitter and Airtech International turn out innovative products for the bath remodel and aerospace industries.

From the truly tiny town of Cedar Hill (population 300) to Springfield, the county seat and largest city (population 20,000), Robertson County offers up small-town culture in spades.
