Arvada: Clear Creek Valley Park 

This 80-acre park has two fishing ponds, multipurpose athletic fields, an adult exercise station, a community garden and a children’s play area with a zip line. Sports fields call to athletes, while peaceful views calm the soul. 

Federal Heights: Water World 

One of the country’s largest water parks, Water World spans 71 acres and has 50-plus water rides. From wave pools to thrill rides and everything in between, it’s the ideal place to stay cool during beautiful Colorado summers. 

Aurora: Stanley Marketplace 

This airplane hangar was redeveloped into a mixed-use space with 50 businesses where locals can eat, drink, exercise, play, shop and work. Whether sipping a beer after Zumba at Cheluna Brewing Co. or enjoying storytime at the Tattered Cover, the marketplace has something fun for every age. 

Northglenn: E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park 

Northglenn’s 28-acre city park is a hub for recreation and culture. The park boasts playgrounds, multiuse fields and basketball facilities, plus a skate park and lake with boat and kayak rentals.

Thornton: Satire Brewing Co. 

Colorado is known for its craft beers, and in Thornton, one unique brewery is definitely worth a visit. Satire Brewing Co. creates small-batch, cleverly named brews (such as Pearanoid and Colowabo) served on a patio on the High Line Canal. Be sure to come hungry and grab some grub from the brewery’s Loaded Squirrel Kitchen. 

Commerce City: Dick’s Sporting Goods Park 

The home of the Colorado Rapids, a Major League Soccer team, this arena can seat over 18,000 people for soccer games, 19,734 for special events and 27,000 for concerts. 

Westminster: Legacy Ridge Golf Course 

This public 18-hole championship course was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1994. With wide fairways, greens that average 6,000 square feet and a spectacular panoramic vista of the Rockies and rolling prairie, Legacy Ridge offers a day of golfing at an affordable price. 

Bennett: Trupp Park Skate Park 

Trupp Park’s skate park is undergoing a transformation, featuring new additions and refreshed areas. Beyond skating, the park boasts playgrounds, expansive fields and walking trails. It’s a versatile space, perfect for recreation and relaxation within the Bennett community. 

Brighton: Barr Lake State Park 

Covering 2,715 acres, Barr Lake State Park centers on its expansive lake, offering opportunities for fishing, boating and wildlife observation. With 12 miles of trails surrounding the water, visitors can enjoy scenic views and experience the tranquility of this natural gem. 

Firestone: 4th at Firestone 

Join the community for a vibrant 4th of July Celebration at Miners Park, complete with a parade, food trucks, lively music and a spectacular fireworks show.
