1) Essentia Protein Solutions
Dalton, Georgia
A new broth manufacturing plant is on the horizon, just a mere 40 minutes from Chattanooga. Essentia Protein, which is headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa, chose this 20-acre site in Dalton for its facility in hopes of expanding its capacity to produce nutritional projects. An estimated 80 jobs will be created as a result.
2) Valmont Industries
Jasper, TN
This infrastructure company announced plans to invest $6 million into its facility in Jasper, which currently employs 270 people. With this new investment, Valmont Industries will create an additional 80 jobs, requiring a range of experience from entry-level to highly technical, all with the goal of meeting the demand for updated steel pole and utility structures.

3) Avail Enclosure Systems / nVent
Chattanooga, TN
This global company will be expanding from its headquarters in Suwanee, GA, to open a new facility in Chattanooga. Over $10 million in investment and an estimated 82 new jobs are expected as a result. On May 1, 2025, nVent acquired Avail Electrical Products Group (a business unit of parent company Avail Infrastructure Solutions), which further strengthens their position in high-growth infrastructure verticals, including power utilities, data centers and renewables.

4) Wind River Built
Cleveland, TN
Tiny homes, big business! Wind River Built, which specializes in modular and tiny homes, opened a new, 92,000-square-foot manufacturing site in Cleveland in 2024. The $15 million investment allowed the company to grow its offerings and fulfillment capability, rising to the demand in the growing tiny home market.
5) Newly Weds Foods
Cleveland, TN
Known for its delicious ice cream dessert, the Newly Weds Ice Cream Cake Roll, Newly Weds Foods has experienced global growth since its founding in the 1930s. The company announced plans to expand to Cleveland, TN, investing over $2 million and creating roughly 40 new jobs.

Hollywood, AL
Just one hour away from Chattanooga, CFD Research has opened a 19,000-square-foot facility that broke ground in 2023. The Joel B. Everett Engineering Test Center now contains 28 new offices, additional storage areas and a bigger conference room, all adding to the company’s engineering and testing endeavors.
7) Amaero LTD.
Cleveland, TN
Titanium alloy producer Amaero Ltd. announced plans in 2023 to base its first-ever U.S. facility in Cleveland. The $55 million investment will create 105 new jobs in Bradley County, growing its metal additive manufacturing capabilities. The site will function as the company’s new global headquarters.
8) West Star Aviation
Chattanooga, TN
Newly announced, West Star Aviation will be expanding its already existing facilities in Chattanooga to include a 40,000-square-foot maintenance hangar and an additional 34,000-square-foot office and shop space. This growth will accommodate the demands of larger aircraft and is estimated to be completed by the end of 2026.
