Elizabeth City, NC, Welcomes Two New Restaurants

City officials say an increasing number of restaurants are showing interest in Elizabeth City, and the two newest additions are Chipotle Mexican Grill and Texas Roadhouse, both of which opened in late 2024 and are located next door to each other on Patrick Way. 

Chipotle offers dishes like burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas and salads that are made fresh in front of customers. The restaurant features a drive-thru window nicknamed the Chipotlane that is dedicated solely to online pickup orders via the Chipotle app 

The Kentucky-based Texas Roadhouse is known for its steaks served in Texan and Southwestern styles. Other popular menu choices include ribs, chicken, seafood and warm, buttery rolls. 

Today, the overall food industry in Elizabeth City continues to evolve, with dining options ranging from savory to spicy to Southern. The list of international dining options continues to expand, as well, now with restaurant choices such as Mexican, Thai, Japanese, French, Caribbean and more.
