NvisionKC is one of the fastest growing companies in Kansas City.

Based in Overland Park, KS, NvisionKC is a certified minority- and woman-owned consulting firm focused on personalized IT solutions, from process automation and data analytics to software development and AI implementation for industries as diverse as health care companies, mining, manufacturing, utilities and city and state governments like the City of Leawood. But what really sets it apart is its “people first” mission.

Speaking to the audience at NvisionKC’s fifth anniversary celebration in 2025, Jerry Ashley credited the IT company and its CEO, Grace Ahn, for not only devising a system to protect employees from injury, but for transforming Ash Grove Cement Co. into the safety leader at CRH, the world’s top provider of building materials.

“We are the model for safety standards now, for the entire company across the globe, all because of her hard work,” says Ashley, director of information technology at Ash Grove, NvisionKC’s first customer. “[Ahn] has built an amazing platform for our company … so that everybody has the ability in hand to take care of everybody [else] in our plant.”

Hospitality and Technology

Armed with a computer science degree in her native South Korea but yearning to work more with others, Ahn trained at two hotels in Switzerland before leaving for an internship at Hyatt in Tampa, Florida, in 1998, just as a recession hit her homeland and bankrupted her family. Arriving in the United States with only $200 in her pocket and limited English, she began her journey through a series of tech jobs, learning the ropes and gaining hands-on experience, before eventually bootstrapping NvisionKC in 2020.

Blending hospitality skills with technical knowledge, NvisionKC has enjoyed steady and notable success. In 2025, Ingram’s Magazine named it one of the Top 10 Fastest-Growing Companies in Kansas City, with revenues projected to double in 2026 and a client roster including JE Dunn, Stormont-Vail Hospital and Hope House.

Ahn, who became a U.S. citizen in 2017, is grateful for the experience and the mentors who helped her along the way. “That’s why I really try to focus on the people that I interact with, not only my customers, but my employees and vendors and partners,” she says. Going beyond the formal contract is a priority for NvisionKC’s associates, who pride themselves on being prompt, easing IT transitions for business employees who dread change and treating clients the way they want to be treated.

“We see it as the tip of the iceberg, what our clients are asking, and we try to connect everything and learn what’s beneath,” Ahn says. “It’s a very holistic approach.”

Team Dedication

Based on end-of-project testimonials, NvisionKC boasts a 99% client satisfaction rate, which Ahn attributes to her team’s dedication.

“Everybody in our company takes personal ownership in what we do. They connect with our mission on a deeper level,” Ahn says. “We encourage our team members to ask questions, get involved and contribute at every stage of a project. We genuinely do our best to make things work for each client, because every client truly matters. If I were the customer, I wouldn’t want to let NvisionKC go either.”
