With a variety of activities to choose from, Corpus Christi is the perfect place to choose your own adventure.

From beautiful beaches to museums and more, Corpus Christi, TX, has something for everyone.

1) Beaches, Beaches, Beaches

More than 80 miles of them, in fact! From the Gulf to the Bay, there’s a beach (or several) for everyone. Downtown offers access to the calm waters of Corpus Christi Bay, with family-friendly spots to enjoy sand, sun, fishing, dining and more, all in the heart of the city.

From paddleboarding to surfing, the Corpus Christi beaches are ideal for a day on the water.

On the Gulf side, find more than 130,000 untouched acres of dunes, marshlands and protected wildlife at Padre Island National Seashore. Adventure awaits at Mustang Island State Park, an 18-mile barrier island that includes North Packery Channel Beach, also known as J.P. Luby Surf Park, a favorite of both locals and visitors for surfing, riding personal watercraft and more. Vehicles are allowed on many Gulf beaches, so it’s easy to drive right onto the sand and explore the coast at your own pace. The sheer variety of beach experiences means you can “choose your own adventure” to discover your perfect beach day.

 2) What’s Cooking?

There’s something for every palate in this coastal foodie paradise, from fresh seafood and vibrant Tex-Mex to legendary barbecue. Seafood leads the way, and many local restaurants offer “cook your catch,” turning guests’ own catch of the day into a fresh, delicious meal. With all those miles of waterfront, there are plenty of options to dine with a view and satisfy every taste.

Visitors can learn about the care and rehabilitation of some of the inhabitants at the Port of Corpus Christi Center for Wildlife Rescue, cool off at the H-E-B Splash Park, and enjoy the brand new Ocean Odyssey experience.
