BlueRock Farm Market in Twin Falls Has New Owners, Same Passion for Produce
Austin Brown has been farming his entire life. The third-generation grower works with his father and brother to raise sugar beets, alfalfa, pinto beans and other commodity crops.
But he’s always wanted to engage in a different kind of growing – providing fresh, local food to people purchasing it where it’s grown. In 2024, this dream became a reality when Austin and his wife, Ashley, purchased BlueRock Farm Market in Twin Falls.
A longtime cornerstone of the community, BlueRock Farm Market began as a pop-up tent for fresh produce in 2015. Original owners Ty and Trenda Regehr also offered specialty items and annual events to the community.
“My husband and I wanted to start our own small-scale farm of growing fresh fruits and vegetables, and so when the opportunity to buy BlueRock came about, it was a God thing, for sure,” Ashley Brown says. “Divine intervention made it all come to fruition for us.”

The Best of Idaho’s Harvest
BlueRock Farm Market offers fresh fruits and vegetables in season along with dry goods, bakery items, fresh flowers and vegetable starts, dairy products, handcrafted gifts and much more. The Browns grow much of the produce on their farm in Jerome.
“We grow about everything you can in this part of Idaho. It’s quite the variety,” Ashley says, naming broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, bell peppers, carrots, eggplant, pickling cucumbers, potatoes, sweet corn and tomatoes. They also grow cantaloupe and watermelon.
Austin oversees the growing, while Ashley – a custom cake baker – manages the bakery. Breads, pies, cakes and other freshly baked goods are baked daily for the market.

About 100 different vendors are represented at the market – everything from fresh goat’s milk to soy candles.
“We work with an orchard out of Fruitland that brings us fresh cherries and fresh peaches,” Ashley says. “Hagerman Canyon Farms brings watermelon and sweet corn until ours are ready. We’ve got Cloverleaf Creamery for ice cream and milk, and Ballard Cheese. We added fresh goat’s milk to the market this year. It’s a very large grouping of small businesses coming together in one place in a really cool environment.”
Throughout the year, several special events add to the fun, including Greenhouse Days, a sunflower patch and the very popular pumpkin patch opening for five weeks at the end of September.
“Every year, the pumpkin patch has been free to access with the exception of purchasing a pumpkin,” Ashley says. “All the activities are free to the community. This is a great way for people to spend time together, bring their kids somewhere fun and learn more about where their food comes from.”

From the Field to Your Table
Educating the public about the importance of local food is as vital as providing that fresh food, Ashley explains.
“You walk into a grocery store and yes, anything you want is there, but how far did the food travel to get to your table and how fresh is it, really? Providing fresh food that people know where it comes from is hugely important to us,” she says.
She says Austin’s dream to take food from their field and provide it to people to buy and take home to eat within a short time of harvest is coming true. “His deep passion to feed people has fostered the same passion in me as well,” Ashley adds.
