When guests walk onto the grounds of Ace Acres Event Center in Clemmons, North Carolina, they’re stepping onto land with a storied past. Initially owned by one of the founders of Kentucky Fried Chicken, the property was once home to famed Tennessee Walking Horses.

The main barn, where horses were stabled, has been carefully reimagined as a modern venue while preserving its agricultural roots. Horse stalls are now stylish restrooms and two expansive event halls, each seating up to 500, welcome celebrations of all kinds. A handcrafted bar, built from wood cut on the property, pays tribute to the land itself.

The farm’s other historic structures add layers of charm and character to the venue. The bridal suite, previously a working barn, has been reimagined into a stylish yet comfortable retreat where brides and their parties can prepare for the day surrounded by rustic beauty. Across the property, the groom’s cabin tells its own unique story. Built in the 1800s and originally used as a church, the building was relocated from downtown Winston-Salem and carefully transformed into a warm, welcoming space that feels both historic and homey.

Beyond the ceremony itself, Ace Acres offers guests experiences that make a celebration unforgettable. A dedicated building houses a golf simulator for those looking to relax or have fun before the big event. Outdoors, the property shines with two sparkling ponds, shady groves and a large arena, each offering a stunning natural backdrop for vows, photos or cocktail hours. Together, these spaces create a venue where history, hospitality and scenery meet to make every gathering distinctive.

Ace Acres has quickly become a gathering place for the community, hosting weddings, vendor fairs and more.

Ace Acres is an ideal venue for weddings, vendor fairs and more.

Opened in November 2023, Ace Acres reflects the vision of owner and CEO Christi Armato, who grew up in Louisiana with a love for entertaining. Since then, the venue has hosted weddings, vendor fairs and even Winston-Salem State University’s alumni homecoming.

Ace Acres has quickly become a gathering place for the community.

“We didn’t just build an event space. We breathed new life into a place with so much character,” Armato says. “Every corner reflects a piece of its past, and that makes celebrations here feel truly unique.”

With bookings already into 2026, Ace Acres is honoring the land’s heritage while creating new traditions, one celebration at a time.
