Here’s a glimpse of Claremore’s diverse dining scene:

Hammett House Restaurant

Known across the state and beyond for its mile-high pies – available in several can’t-miss flavors like coconut cream and lemon pecan, and made fresh every morning – Hammett House Restaurant has served the Claremore community since 1969. In addition to its signature pies, the landmark eatery offers Southern classics such as fried green tomatoes and delicious chicken fried steak. Hammett House Restaurant is located just a few blocks off Route 66 near Rogers State University, which makes it a convenient spot for hungry travelers and locals alike.

Belvidere Mansion Tea Room and The Pink House

Enjoy a cup of tea and lunch at the Belvidere Mansion Tea Room, located inside a three-story, 9,000-square-foot Victorian mansion in downtown Claremore. Open Tuesday-Saturday, the tea room’s menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, flatbreads and hot baked potatoes. Looking for a place to savor afternoon tea and light snacks? Head to The Pink House, open Monday-Saturday, where you can also indulge in high tea (a more leisurely experience that includes a four-course meal). Both tea rooms are favorite destinations for bridal and baby showers, birthday parties and other special events.

El Maguey Mexican Restaurant

Try the authentic Mexican cuisine at El Maguey, which serves menu items like fajitas, enchiladas and chimichangas, plus lunch specials available from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Yelp.com reviewers rave about the restaurant’s complimentary chips and salsa – in fact, one local goes so far as to say El Maguey has the best salsa in Claremore. Thirsty? Order a pitcher of house margaritas for just $6.99.

Carl’s Coney Island

Grab a quick bite at Carl’s Coney Island, a family-friendly eatery located in Claremore’s Ne-Mar Center. This all-American lunch spot offers hot dogs served with all the traditional fixings or topped with sauerkraut, as well as salads, sandwiches and homemade pies. Carl’s is open Monday-Saturday.

The Fried Pie

When you visit The Fried Pie, you just can’t leave without trying at least one of their famous Arbuckle Mountain pies, available in both fruit and meat varieties. The locally owned and operated restaurant also serves daily specials such as pulled-pork sandwiches with coleslaw and baked beans, beef stew and cornbread, and chicken fingers with gravy.
