Erlanger: Home of Region’s Only Level I Trauma Center

With a legacy spanning over 120 years, Erlanger Health System is a cornerstone of regional health care. Its comprehensive network is anchored by the downtown Chattanooga campus, which includes Erlanger Baroness Hospital and Children’s Hospital. This campus houses the tri-state region’s only Level I Trauma Center and the LIFE FORCE air ambulance fleet. The system also includes its North, East and Bledsoe facilities. Through a partnership with the UT Health Science Center College of Medicine- Chattanooga, Erlanger is a vital hub for medical education and research. 

Chi Memorial Hospital: A Leading Provider in the Southeast

Caring for the community since 1952, CHI Memorial Hospital is part of CommonSpirit Health and a nonprofit, faith-based facility dedicated to meeting the region’s changing health care needs. Over the decades, the Chattanooga location has expanded to provide specialized services such as the CHI Memorial Rees Skillern Cancer Institute, the leading provider of adult cancer treatment in Southeast Tennessee. Along with its facility in Fort Oglethorpe, CHI Memorial Hospital is also growing its presence in Georgia with a new state-of-the-art hospital located in Ringgold. 

Parkridge Health: Recognized Among America’s Best Hospitals

Parkridge Health serves the area with a network of hospitals and freestanding emergency rooms. The 275-bed Parkridge Medical Center is the flagship hospital and an accredited chest pain center offering comprehensive acute care services, including general surgery, cardiology, oncology, neurology and a 24-hour emergency room. 

Other member hospitals include Parkridge East, Parkridge West and Parkridge Valley, offering behavioral health and addiction disorder treatments. For the fourth consecutive year, the medical center has been named as one of America’s 250 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades, snagging a spot in the top 5% for overall clinical performance. 

Vitruvian Health: New Name, Trusted Care

A dynamic future lies ahead for Vitruvian Health, formerly Hamilton Health Care System, which is a nonprofit health care system serving Northwest Georgia and Southeast Tennessee. Vitruvian Health recently announced it has completed the purchase of Tennova Healthcare- Cleveland, which will be rebranded as the Vitruvian Health- Bradley Medical Center. 

The acquisition includes the 251-bed main hospital, an additional 100 licensed beds at the Westside campus and other medical care locations. 

HH Health: Community-Centric Care

Huntsville Hospital Health System is a not-for-profit, community-based health care organization serving Northern Alabama and Southern Tennessee, encompassing a network of hospitals and physician practices, including Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro and DeKalb Regional Medical Center in Fort Payne. The system provides a wide range of services, aiming to deliver comprehensive and quality care.
