As people continue to flock to Franklin, TN, and Williamson County, there is a need for even more quality housing, office space, retail stores and entertainment options in the area.

Parkes Development Group is helping to meet that need through the creation of Avalon Franklin.

This new 58-acre development is where Southern style meets modern life.

Avalon features more than 492 apartments and 345,000+ square feet of retail, restaurants and entertainment, with an additional 65,000 square feet of office space conveniently located just a mile off Interstate 65 and barely 20 miles south of Nashville.

“Avalon Franklin will be a community where friends and family can shop, dine, catch up and make memories,” says Rhonda Thomas, director of Leasing & Property Management  for Parkes. “It will be a well-planned, natural gathering place, integrating residential, retail and entertainment with other uses to craft a charming community.”

Avalon will be located just east of historic downtown Franklin, at the roundabout where McEwen Drive and Cool Springs Boulevard intersect. It will be adjacent to 84-acre Liberty Park, a popular green space that includes a baseball complex, children’s playground, disc golf course and dog park.

Historic downtown Franklin is one of the reasons so many people are moving to the city.

Avalon Franklin Will Be a Mixed-Use Development

In addition, Avalon will be surrounded by a dynamic mix of homes and businesses. More  than 23,000 single-family homes are located within a 4-mile radius, and the immediate trade area includes multiple Fortune 500 companies and more than 40 national and international headquarters.

The development of Avalon will be an important addition to the growth of Williamson County, which has experienced a population increase of more than 35% since 2010. Recent market research estimates that Williamson County’s population is expected to double to 400,000 by 2040.

Williamson is now the sixth-largest county in all of Tennessee, and Franklin is the state’s seventh-largest city. Williamson also is ranked as the wealthiest county in Tennessee and one of the wealthiest in the country. The average household income exceeds $150,000 (nearly twice the national average), with median home prices hitting approximately $816,000.

Finally, the Cool Springs trade area is a regional business hub, with more than 10 million square feet of office space. Avalon will add  to that total, along with bringing much, much more to Franklin  and Williamson County.
