Rock Nashville: A Game Changer in Tennessee
Nashville has always been renowned as an entertainment destination. Just take a stroll down Broadway or Music Row, and you’ll see its deep roots in shaping the music industry. In recent decades, Nashville, TN, has gained ground in film and TV production, too. But with one of the world’s largest capital investments in live entertainment production facilities coming to town, it’s the dawn of a new era in Nashville.
Rock Nashville Is Launching in 2026
With its grand opening on the horizon in 2026, Rock Nashville is set to redefine Music City’s live entertainment scene. Spanning 55 acres and 600,000 square feet of facility space in Nashville’s Whites Creek community, Rock Nashville will offer an unparalleled hub for artists and production teams in the region.
Providing business development, networking, community programming, audio and lighting design, rehearsal space and offices for over 40 leading entertainment companies, Rock Nashville will serve as the premier one-stop shop for the industry’s top professionals.
“It will put Tennessee on the forefront,” says Bob Raines, executive director of the Tennessee Entertainment Commission (TEC). “We will be a premier destination for live entertainment production in the United States.”
In addition, Rock Nashville’s campus will house 13 studios for artists and production teams to utilize, all in one centralized location. Among those will include two gigantic studios intentionally designed for arena productions. That means the likes of Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen and other global entertainment stars can come to Rock Nashville to rehearse their stadium tours in this one-of-a-kind space.
This industry game changer is the brainchild of Rock Lititz, world-class live production company Clair Global and local legend SoundCheck Nashville. While Nashville’s thriving music industry was certainly a draw for Rock Nashville, the city was also chosen for its logistical proximity to the country’s largest population density.
As a result, it’s anticipated that Rock Nashville will be abuzz with 400 to 500 people on any given day once it’s in full swing. “With so many industry professionals in proximity to one another, it’ll be like no other place in the world,” Raines says.
And considering that the facility is already booked in advance for its first 250-plus days of operation, further expansion is a real possibility, too.

Economic Impact Across Tennessee
Drawing Rock Nashville to Music City is a big win for the TEC, which actively recruits developments that bring investment and jobs to the state.
“We wanted to build out a new part of our entertainment industry here,” Raines says, “and the live entertainment production business is a multibillion-dollar industry.”
Consequently, Rock Nashville is ready to make a far-reaching economic impact across Tennessee.
Building Rock Nashville constituted about a $150 million capital investment, Raines says, and had considerable economic effect on the state’s construction industry. Once it opens, the facility has the potential to generate up to $30 million in new annual salary for Tennesseans involved in its everyday operations, from rigging and sound to transportation and beyond, Raines says.

Beyond its daily workforce, Rock Nashville’s economic potential will spread even further. As major artists utilize Rock Nashville and bring their entourages to town, it’s estimated that they’ll collectively spend another $20 million-plus per year on hotels and other guest expenses.
“There will be quite the ripple effect over the next three to five years as Rock Nashville continues to grow,” Raines says.
Rock Nashville will also provide incredible workforce training opportunities for Tennesseans to get high-paying positions in the live entertainment industry moving forward.
Rock Nashville’s arrival comes on the heels of other recent major entertainment wins for the TEC, including the high-impact productions of TV shows 9-1-1 Nashville and Scarpetta filmed on location in Music City.
These developments only confirm that Tennessee has transformed into a global leader in the entertainment industry.
From a strategic standpoint, the TEC can leverage Rock Nashville as a unique asset to recruit other companies to Tennessee. “At the end of the day, it’s about creating jobs,” Raines says.
