No matter what you’re feeling – a dry wine, ice cold beer, cheesy fettuccine alfredo, a juicy burger, you name it – living in Robertson County means you don’t have to leave the region to satisfy your cravings. Trust us, the beverage and dining scene in Robertson County is one you’re sure to love. Let’s dive in and learn more about a few places where the locals love to grab a drink or chow down on some grub.

1. Summer Crest Winery

Take just one sip of one of the delicious wines flowing at Sumner Crest Winery, and you’ll soon see why they use the slogan, “Cultivating enjoyment since 1997.” Whites, reds and other wine variations – all with superb aromas and flavors – abound here, and some even pay tribute to the region, such as the 2019 Robertson King semisweet red and the 2020 Orlinda Gold white, which has hints of peach. And to pair with your wine, The Grape Vine Cafe, open on Saturdays and Sundays, is serving up homemade handheld melts, soup, appetizers and more.

2. BS Brew Works

On Main Street in Springfield is BS Brew Works, named after the first initials of brewers/owners Bob Smith and Shane Shoemaker. Robertson County’s only brewery and taproom opened in 2019 and features 24 craft beer selections with names like Midsummer’s Night, Barren Plains, Shady West Coast, and more. Plus, a number of pub-style dishes are available. An order of the hot beer cheese is a must!

3. Depot Bar & Grill

Operating out of a quaint former train depot building built in 1922, Depot Bar & Grill is a popular Springfield restaurant celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023. Owner Doug Voise is very friendly and a well-known face welcoming regulars and guests alike. And the food here does not disappoint – order a rack of lamb, a New York strip steak, chicken piccata or blackened catfish, among other things.

4. Colorado Grill

Whether you’re looking for a place to grab brunch, lunch or dinner, Colorado Grill has just what you’re looking for on the menu. Think melty spinach and cheese omelets, juicy steaks, fresh pecan pie and more. Plus, this White House eatery offers an impressive wine and beer selection as well as a cozy cocktail bar.

5. Back Roads Bar & Grill

Looking for a great place to grab a bite and beer? Well, Back Roads Bar & Grill is just the place you want to visit. Sit down to some pub food – we suggest the buffalo wings – and choose a cold one from the wide selection of domestic beers available. You will want to check out the live bands that perform here on weekends as well as play trivia on Thursday nights.

6. El Alteño Mexican Restaurant

Authentic homemade Mexican food is what you will find at Springfield’s El Alteño Mexican Restaurant. The business, which honors the independent and adventurous Alteños who live in the mountainous Jalisco region of Mexico, serves up some delicious chimichangas supremas, fajitas, burritos and more.

7. Torino’s Green & Italian Restaurant

An impressive lineup of Greek and Italian dishes keeps customers coming back to Torino’s Greek & Italian Restaurant in Springfield. Send your tastebuds on a journey and try the Greek spanakopita (miniature phyllo dough pies), souvlaki, pork kabobs, fettuccini alfredo and cheesy lasagna. Traditional fare items, like steak, chicken tenders and sub sandwiches, are also available.
