Women Connect: Building Business Networks in Williamson County

Women seeking business connections and networking opportunities in Williamson County don’t have to look far. In 2020, Lucy Miller founded Women Connect, an organization designed to help professional women gather to create genuine relationships and vital connections.

Rapid Growth and Regional Impact

What started as a small gathering of 10 women in Franklin has grown into a robust network of 13 chapters across Tennessee, with additional chapters in Alabama, Kentucky and Georgia. Events can range from coffee to lunch to happy-hour networking, where Miller says many “business friendships” are formed.

“Women really are craving opportunities to make authentic business connections and find ways to really get to know one another and support one another and have it really be a genuine opportunity and not just shaking hands and passing business cards,” Miller says.

Supporting the Local Williamson County Network

In Williamson County alone, Women Connect hosts at least four events each month, one in each of its Franklin, Brentwood, Spring Hill and Nolensville chapters. Miller says all women are welcome to attend events, and they are not limited to attending events in their city. In fact, many women participate in multiple events each month across different parts of the Nashville area to grow their networks.

The organization also hosts virtual events and an annual conference each year. The 2025 conference was held at The Factory at Franklin and included a full day of speakers and networking opportunities.
