Chesterfield, MO offers several sports and recreation options, including Monarch Chesterfield Levee Trail.

It’s easy to be a good sport in Chesterfield, where residents have access to numerous outdoor and indoor recreational venues that add to the community’s overall quality of life. Here are some of the attractions:

Parks & Trails

Chesterfield has 488.5 acres of parkland and trails, and one of the newest and most popular destinations for residents is Rivers Edge Park just north of Taubman Prestige Outlets. The refuge includes a scenic lake and a crushed limestone walking and biking trail, and there is a convenient boating dock (no motors) for fishing enthusiasts. Another park attraction is habitats for bird-watching opportunities.

Also new in Chesterfield is Veterans Honor Park, a place for families and individuals to gather in honor of veterans. The park is designed to be calm and peaceful with amenities like a granite star monument and fountain, military seals and threshold pavers, paved sidewalks, inner ring benches and flagpoles. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place in the spring of 2017.

Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex

A huge facility on North Outer 40 Road, Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex spans 176 acres and consists of 18 ball diamonds, 14 multipurpose fields (soccer, football, lacrosse and Ultimate Frisbee), 12 practice baseball/softball practice fields, four concession buildings, two playgrounds and four parking lots. Also on site is Catch 22 Miracle Field, a baseball field for children with disabilities.

Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center

Located in Central Park, Chesterfield Family Aquatic Center is an excellent summer getaway with a 25-yard competitive pool along with a lazy river, splash pad for toddlers, two large flume slides and a leisure pool complete with a play structure. And speaking of water, Central Park also houses a 7.5-acre lake for swimming, boating and fishing.

Arts and Culture in Chesterfield, MO

Golf Courses

The club scene in Chesterfield includes The Landings at Spirit Golf Club, a public facility that opened in 2000 and spans 6,700 yards from its longest tees for a par of 71. Private courses in Chesterfield include Forest Hills Country Club that stretches 6,743 yards and plays as a par 72, and Forest Hills also has a nine-hole venue that measures 1,866 yards and is a par 30. Another private course in Chesterfield is a nine-hole Four Seasons Country Club that opened in 1962 and plays as a par 35.
