What are some of the Chamber’s key initiatives or programs these days?
We are bringing exciting energy to our programming with initiatives like an About Town economic development series, where we share crucial updates from Licking County’s vibrant cities and villages. Our Washington Night every August has evolved into a highly anticipated annual tradition, giving attendees direct insights from state and national legislative leaders. We also continue to champion the next generation with our thriving Young Leaders of Licking County program, dedicated to attracting and retaining top young talent in our area.
Talk about the Women’s Leadership Network and how the region supports women in business.
The Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) is a powerhouse of connection and inspiration for women across Licking County. Through an engaging online community and a calendar packed with high-impact events, WLN fosters growth and collaboration. Our programming includes quarterly luncheons on hot topics and a must-attend biannual conference. This initiative has been a game-changer for women to gain the resources they need to excel.

How would you describe Licking County’s business community in one word, and why?
I would say “hyper-collaborative.” In Licking County, collaboration isn’t just a buzzword; it’s our way of life. Business leaders and elected officials come together seamlessly to drive economic progress and tackle challenges head on. Our coalitions and forward-thinking initiatives make this community a dynamic, solutions-driven ecosystem.
What advice would you give aspiring entrepreneurs or small-business owners who want to thrive in Licking County?
Dive right in and get involved! Of course, joining the Chamber is a great first step, but don’t stop there. Engage with service clubs, downtown associations and the Young Leaders of Licking County. Also, find a mentor, leverage social media, host open houses, and most importantly, carve out time to network. The strongest businesses are built on relationships.
What are the Chamber’s top priorities for 2025 and beyond?
Looking forward, we are excited to launch Chat with the Chamber roundtable discussions, offering members intimate conversations with our board members and fellow business leaders. We are also creating an Educator After Hours event to bridge the gap between teachers and industry leaders.
