Must-See Murals in Williamson County

Williamson County has embraced its artistic side, and residents are seeing murals pop up in every corner of the county.

“The murals you find across Williamson County have become a fun and accessible way to experience art around each of our communities,” says Matthew Maxey, senior director of public relations for Visit Franklin.

A free digital passport on visitfranklin.com highlights over a dozen of the county’s finest murals, plus mural-seekers can find them on the interactive map. Here are just a few murals you don’t want to miss.

In Nolensville, the floral “This Girl Can” mural by Kim Radford can be spotted on the drive-thru side of Mama’s Java. While you’re in town, check out the history of Nolensville depicted in the “Nolensville Mural” by artist Kristy Oakley on the north side of Itty Bitty Donuts.

Franklin is vibrant with murals, and one of the most notable is the large “Welcome to Franklin Postcard” mural by artist Michael Cooper, painted on the side of the Urgent Care Clinic. Also by Cooper is the stunningly realistic “Not Your Average Wallflowers,” which features native Tennessee flowers. You can find it on the back side of Caliber Collision.

Head to Fairview for the community-painted “Fairview Landscape” mural off Fairview Boulevard at Key Chiropractic. Just down the street is the classic “Fairview Tri-Star” mural on the front of Farm Fresh by owner and daughter Beth and Shelby Tidwell.
