City officials schedule several fun festivals and events during the year, including Cabin Fever Daze in the winter and a Garden Expo & Kite Event each spring. Heritage & Freedom Fest occurs every July 2-4, while the autumn welcomes a Fall Fest & Street Dance. The winter also features a Tree Lighting Ceremony and Celebration of Lights.

One of the finest aquatic centers in the region is Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center, located in O’Fallon’s Civic Park. The facility is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.

Take a Walk

Dedicated in 2001 following 9/11, the Veterans Memorial Walk is open 24/7 and serves as a monument to honor all U.S. soldiers both past and present. Each year, tens of thousands of people visit the inspirational exhibit, with special ceremonies scheduled annually on Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, POW/MIA Remembrance Day and Veterans Day. A long onsite walkway is popular with people looking for a nice place to exercise.
