Hospital Opens New Wing

Recently, the hospital celebrated |the grand opening of a $6.5 million Geriatric Behavioral Health Wing. The addition provides 22 beds for inpatient psychological and behavioral care for patients 55 and older, offering a highly specialized care team plus the latest clinical research and practices in a secure environment.

At the heart of the new wing is an activity space, group room and hydration station.

“Our investment in this new wing further confirms Baptist Health’s and Prattville Baptist Hospital’s commitment to caring for our community’s needs,” Morgan says. “Behavioral health services for our geriatric population were lacking and we knew that needed to change. We are proud to be able to offer this much-needed service and provide families with the peace of mind that their loved one will be cared for.”
