1. Museum of Arts & Sciences

On a 90-acre Florida nature preserve in Daytona Beach, the Museum of Arts & Sciences is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. Works of art on display represent America, Cuba, China and Africa. The museum also features science exhibits centered on fishing and Florida weather, a planetarium and children's interactive experiences.

2. Southeast Museum of Photography

On the campus of Daytona State College is the Southeast Museum of Photography. The museum, which preserves, displays and interprets photographs, was founded in 1975 as space for Daytona State students to showcase their photography and view the works of others.

3. ArtHaus

Founded in 1996, ArtHaus has exhibited more than 100,000 works during its 25-year history in Port Orange. The gallery hosts 10 to 14 exhibitions each year, with many featuring the works of young artists in the Volusia County Schools system. Admission is free.

4. African American Museum of the Arts

Founded in DeLand in 1994, the African American Museum of the Arts (AAMA) opens every Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and admission is free. The museum houses a revolving gallery of African and Caribbean American artworks. AAMA also operates Little Theater of DeLand.

5. Motorsports Hall of Fame

Based in Michigan from 1989-2015, the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America relocated to Daytona Beach in 2016. It is the only hall that celebrates the full spectrum of American motorsports, including cars, motorcycles, offroad, powerboats and airplanes. The building also features plaques of more than 250 motorsports inductees.
