Located inside the Dr. Donald and Beret Mott Children’s Center, the Children’s Therapy Unit is known as “the Ark” for its unique curved architecture, port-hole windows and family friendly environment — a design inspired by Noah’s Ark.

The Children’s Therapy Unit, one of the nation’s leading neurodevelopmental centers, provides customized physical and occupational therapies to help children with mobility and other skills.

Tucked inside is an oasis of helpful services. An in-house orthotic and prosthetic team make customized devices in bright colors and superhero patterns reflecting each child’s personality. Generous community donations allowed for the purchase of a specialized cranial helmet remolding machine.

Nearby, on the same campus, sits the MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, an acute care facility with 375 licensed beds, 1,600 employees and 24-hour emergency department.
