Fayetteville is probably best-known for being the home of Fort Bragg, one the United State’s most combat-ready and active military installations. The city also pays homage to the Army’s elite forces with the Airborne & Special Operations Museum. Downtown Fayetteville is a great mix of revamped stores and restaurants, offering everything from gourmet coffee to antiques. Fayetteville has a symphony and several golf courses.
