The historic town of Breckenridge is situated 9,603 feet above sea level in a sprawling valley along the Continental Divide. Besides its full-time citizens, Breckenridge also welcomes many part-time residents who have vacation homes in the area and come to snow ski. The town has plenty of shopping and arts options along Main Street and has a reputation for tourism, with summer attractions such as hiking, fly-fishing, mountain biking, boating and white-water rafting.
