#58. Ellensburg
Just east of the Cascade Range on Interstate 90 is Ellensburg, Wash.,, a city with several downtown historic buildings that were constructed in the late 19th century. A strong school system in Ellensburg includes Ellensburg School District 401 along with Central Washington University, and residents receive top medical care thanks to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. The community’s Parks & Rec Department oversees an indoor pool, senior center, youth center and recreation center.
