The University of Georgia is the largest employer in Athens, Ga., and is a big contributor to city’s strong arts and music scene. Several restaurants, bars and coffee shops are in place, and so are a half-dozen breweries. Popular pub stops include Copper Creek Brewing Co., Creature Comforts Brewery and Terrapin Beer Co., which has selections like Big Hoppy Monster and Hopsecutioner IPA.
