#22. Chandler, AZ

From its humble beginnings in 1912, Chandler has grown and flourished, becoming a beloved home for more than 250,000 diverse residents. Today, Chandler has thriving electronics and manufacturing industries, a revitalized downtown district, tons of public art, great schools and more than 60 parks within city limits. Families love living here, since wages are high and there’s a lot to do on the weekends. Whether you love history or golf, there’s a little something for everyone in sunny Chandler.

Top Industries and Employers: Chandler has an impressive 30 Fortune 1000 companies within its bounds, including Intel, Wells Fargo, PayPal and Northrop Grumman.

Best Meetup Spot (When Meeting Up Is a Thing Again): Sip some killer craft cocktails in a historic setting at The Ostrich, a basement lounge that once operated as an ostrich feather storage facility after World War I. You’ll find it directly under Crust Chandler, so head upstairs for a pizza afterward.

Creative Hub: You can catch tons of live music, theater, dance, comedy, films and more at the Chandler Center for the Arts.
